no you’re not in positano, you’re at @dolcerivieradal 🍋🍊! one of our favorite vibey spots has finally reopened their doors post covid with a new menu and the same great atmosphere. the music was an upbeat mix of genres & is anything but sleepy!

they offer seating on the patio, in the main dining room and in the bar (where we sat!) for a more loungey meal. our sips were delish and we loved every bite!

baby girl,
being a woman is an unbelievably beautiful thing, but there’s no getting around it: it comes with challenges.

you’re entering a world that will expect you to be pretty, slender and soft spoken. smart, but not smarter than a guy, successful, but not more so than your partner. you’ll learn quickly that being underestimated comes with the territory.

unlike your brother, you’ll be taught to never walk alone at night, to be vigilant in parking garages, to keep an eye on your drink and to always check the backseat of your car before driving.

while you’re trying to understand your sexuality, you’ll find out there’s an incredibly thin line between being too “prude” and too “slutty.” the world will have an opinion on when you get pregnant, and even more to say if you don’t want to get pregnant.

expect for society to deem you less capable than your brother in almost every capacity.

but sweet girl, don’t be discouraged! the truth is, women make the world go around. you are inherently and instinctively strong. you need to know your contribution to society is invaluable. there’s no limit to what you can accomplish, and your dad and I will be there lifting you up every step of YOUR way.

and to my sweet son,
remember always that you don’t have to be a woman to support them. men of quality respect women’s equality. her victory is your victory. 🧡
