These banana pancakes are perfect for fast-paced, back-to-school mornings! We love to serve ours with creamy peanut butter, warmed jam, or good old maple syrup drizzled all over top.
All you need are four ingredients: 1 banana, 1 egg, 2 tbsp. of flour and 1 tsp. of vanilla extract!
Here’s how you’ll make my Healthy 4 Ingredient Banana Pancakes:
- Mash the banana and whisk the egg.
- Incorporate the flour and vanilla extract.
- Heat some butter in your sauté pan and pour in batter into 4″ rounds.
- Once bubbles start to form, flip and cook opposite side.
- Serve warm with peanut butter, warmed jam or maple syrup!

4 Ingredient Healthy Banana Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp. flour I use gluten free flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, peel the ripe banana and place it in the bowl. Use a fork to mash the banana until it's smooth and free of any lumps.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix well then add in the flour, mixing again.
- Add butter or cooking spray to a nonstick pan and heat over medium.
- Pour in batter creating four pancakes and cook for a few minutes until underside is set. Flip carefully and cook through!
- Serve warm with peanut butter, warmed jam or maple syrup!
