Why this is the PERFECT Chicken for a wrap

A great wrap always starts with juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken breast, and this recipe is no exception. To speed things up and keep it tender, I butterfly the chicken breast—it’s a total game changer! After seasoning it with kosher salt, black pepper, and paprika, I pop it straight into the air fryer. The air fryer is the secret to getting that crispy outer layer while keeping the inside nice and juicy.

Don’t have an air fryer? You can easily cook the chicken in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat with a little olive oil. Just cook the chicken for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side until it’s golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips—this helps retain all the juiciness and ensures your chicken is perfectly tender for the wrap!

How to Perfectly Butterfly Chicken for Your Wrap

Butterflying chicken is a great trick for wraps! Not only does it cook the chicken faster, but it also keeps the inside juicy while giving you that crispy exterior we all crave. Start by laying your chicken breast flat, then grab a sharp knife and slice horizontally through the thickest part to create two thinner pieces. This technique ensures your chicken cooks evenly and is just the right texture for wrapping up. Try it for yourself and watch the magic happen!

Meal Prep Made Easy

If you’re all about meal prepping, this recipe is a total game-changer. You can cook the chicken and whip up the tahini sauce ahead of time, then just assemble the wraps when you’re ready to eat. These wraps hold up great in the fridge, and you can store them wrapped in plastic or in airtight containers to keep them fresh. Looking for an easy, flavorful meal prep option?
