Delicious And Easy Apple Tarts Recipe
Looking for a deliciously easy sweet treat to make this holiday season? I have just the thing for you! These apple tarts are made with just a handful of ingredients—one of them being frozen puff pastry—so you can skip the hassle of making dough from scratch and spend less time in the kitchen!
Why I love this recipe
I don’t know about you, but I always crave apple pie during the fall. There’s something about the combination of sweet apples and a buttery, flaky crust that feels so comforting. But let’s be real—sometimes I just don’t have the time (or energy) to go through the entire dough-making process for the pie crust. That’s why this recipe is such a lifesaver! These tasty tarts are the perfect shortcut to satisfy those cravings. They are the easiest little shortcut for a very similar flavor!! It’s my go-to when I want a quick and easy twist on my favorite apple desserts!

- Bake for 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Use a cooking spatula to gently flip each pastry over so that the apples are showing.
- Put a few tablespoons of powdered sugar into a sieve and tap the side over each pastry
to dust with sugar. - Optionally, serve with a small scoop of ice cream on top. Enjoy immediately!
Savvy Tips!
Type of apples:
The sweetness of the apples really makes a difference in the flavor of these tarts. I personally love using Honeycrisp apples because they strike the perfect balance of sweet and tart. But if you prefer something a bit milder, Golden Delicious apples are a great choice too. Granny Smith apples are also fantastic because they hold up so well when baked. Honestly, you can use any good baking apple for this recipe—whatever you have on hand will work beautifully
Storage:
If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container or freezer bags for the next day. These tarts are best enjoyed fresh for the best flavor, but they will last for a day or two if you need to store them.
Flavor variations:
Try sprinkling a little cinnamon or some lemon zest over the apples before layering them onto the pastry. It’s a simple touch, but it really brings out the flavor and adds something extra to the tarts! And for the perfect finishing touch, top them with a dollop of whipped cream instead of ice cream—it adds a light, creamy contrast to the sweetness of the apples.
Make ahead:
If you’re hosting a dinner party or have a busy day ahead, you can make the tarts in advance—just wrap them up in plastic wrap and pop them in the fridge until you’re ready to bake. It’s a total time-saver!
