I love chocolate covered strawberries, but I wanted to put a healthier spin on the sweet treat. Perfect for a sweet treat craving or a Valentine’s Day surprise, Greek yogurt makes a thick, creamy coating with a subtle tang, and an added protein boost! The roasted pistachios add the perfect touch of saltiness to balance the sweet strawberries, along with a delicious crunch.

A perfect snack with wholesome ingredients!
When snack time hits, sometimes my sweet tooth takes over. I find myself looking for something sugary to satisfy my cravings. However, I also need a protein boost that will carry me through the afternoon–something a chocolate chip cookie can’t provide. In search of this elusive snack time hybrid, I’m reimagining one of my favorite sweet treats, making them a little healthier and a little less decadent. Both sweet and nutritious, these yogurt dipped strawberries are the perfect answer to my snack time cravings.
Why Greek yogurt?
I love Greek yogurt for so many reasons. It’s thick and creamy, with a slight tang that makes it the perfect base for dipping fruit and creating a healthy treat. Plus, it’s packed with protein, which helps keep me full longer. While I prefer plain Greek yogurt for this recipe, you can use vanilla Greek yogurt if you prefer a slightly sweeter base. It’s such a great way to enjoy a sweet snack that’s still healthy and full of wholesome ingredients, making it the best healthy dessert!

Ingredients you’ll need:
- fresh strawberries
- greek yogurt
- roasted and shelled pistachios
Here’s how you’ll make my Yogurt Dipped Strawberries with Roasted Pistachios:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Chop the roasted, shelled pistachios and place them in a bowl.
- Dip each washed strawberry into Greek yogurt, then roll it in the pistachios. Place the coated strawberries on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for one hour to chill.
- Enjoy this sweet treat!
Savvy tips:
Don’t skip the parchment paper! Lining a sheet pan with parchment paper and placing the strawberries on it to chill in the fridge will make them easier to remove, and make clean-up a breeze!
Use fresh strawberries: When choosing strawberries, look for firm, ripe ones, with a bright red color. They’ll hold up better during the dipping process and taste extra sweet.
Switch up the toppings! Try chopped nuts, shredded coconut, dried fruit, sweet chocolate chips, sprinkles, or even a sprinkle of sea salt!
Melted chocolate: If you’re feeling more of a fancier treat try melting some dark chocolate or white chocolate and drizzle it over the strawberries for that classic v-day treat! For a slightly healthier option, try drizzling peanut butter instead!
Display on a serving dish: Present your yogurt-dipped strawberries on a beautiful serving dish to make them even more appealing for your guests!
